  1. Boxcar Park & the perfect summer picnic


    Boxcar Park butts right up to the water and is a perfect spot to enjoy a picnic, throw a frisbee with a friend or watch the sunset. Local Picnic Tip: The Sno-Isle Natural Foods Co-Op is a great place to load up on snacks. You can also grab food to go from Scuttlebutt Brewing or Bluewater Distilling. Here's a map.

    There’s a massive Farmers Market at Boxcar Park every Sunday that’s a must-see if you’re in town. Come for lunch, and load up on locally-made snacks. Local Tip: skip the plastic tables and head out to the lawn to enjoy your food. The view is hard to beat.

    Head up the trail through the forest and over the railroad tracks to a spectacular beach with killer views. The park also has trails, playgrounds, picnic shelters, and an abundance of water views! 
  5. Run, walk, bike


    Get out and burn off all of the extra vacation food that you've been putting away. The Everett waterfront has a four-mile paved trail that'll take you past some pretty selfie-worthy scenery. 
  6. Music at the Marina


    On Thursday and Saturday nights during the summer, the docks at the Port of Everett Marina transform into a huge outdoor dance floor. It’s free to watch the music and beer & wine is available. Bring cash and your dancing shoes. A coat is a good idea, too, for when the sun goes down.
  7. Fishing Charters


    The Pacific Northwest has an abundance of salmon and crab – not to mention a picturesque and rugged coast that especially nice to see by boat. If you have the time (and the budget for it) check out one of Everett’s fishing charter companies.

    Jetty Island is a top destination for kiteboarding and if you’re feeling adventurous, you can take a class and learn how. Not feeling gnarly? No prob, it’s fun to watch from the beach. 
  9. Jetty Island Days

    Everett’s sandy island of wonder is only accessible by a free ferry (unless you have a boat/raft/scuba tank). If you’re in town between July and Labor Day, you have to do a beach day at the Jetty. The island boasts over a mile of sandy beach and the water is shallow and warm (by PNW standards). Fun fact: Jetty Island is a top destination for Kite Boarding.
  10. Sail in Cinema


    Catch free outdoor movies on Friday evenings at Boxcar Park. Bring a blanket, junk food and enjoy the show. 
  11. Food Truck Fridays


    Feast on street food, lounge in the sunshine, and take in the views of the Olympic mountains. Every Friday from May-September, you'll find a host of food trucks at the Port of Everett's South Marina.
